DU On the Road: Yellowcard Bring the UP UP DOWN DOWN Tour Through the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH! (June 18, 2026)

Yellowcard, supported by New Found Glory, and Brandon Reilly played some of the hits with a dose of nostalgia in New Hampshire on June 18th, 20206!

Take a look at all the action below courtesy of our own, Michael “Woody” Woodworth (@thiccwoodyphoto)!

On Thursday, June 18th, Yellowcard brought the Up Up Down Down tour w/ support from New Found Glory to the Hampton Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH. The venue, located mere steps away from the Atlantic Ocean, has been open for over a 100 years apparently. When you walk in, you are greeted by a massive open floor that can hold up to 2200 people, with VIP boxes scattered above. All along the walls sports a hall of fame of acts that have come through over the years, including Dizzy Gilespie and Louis Armstrong in the 1940s, Led Zeppelin in the 60s, to Godsmack in 1999, and many many more.

Originally, I Am the Avalanche was supposed to open up the night, but there was an illness in the band, so unfortunately, they were unable to go on. I did, however, see vocalist Vinnie Caruana, whom I interviewed a couple months ago, and took a rad selfie, so that was cool. The night was opened up, instead, by Brandon Reilly (Nightmare of You / The Movielife) with an acoustic set. Not terrible, but definitely a step down from the energy that was expected, but we understand what happened and were glad enough to have him there!

Next, the night got officially started with New Found Glory hitting the stage. I had seen them a couple times, once at Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT and the House of Blues in Boston, and boy they did not disappoint. Immediately, the tone of the night changed as everyone in the room took in a spectacular set. Between vocalist Jordan Pundik and bassist Ian Grushka, the stage presence was insane. During the third song, Pundik spent most of it on the barricade, engaging with what seemed like every single fan within reach, with words being screamed back to him. It was a sight to behold. The rest of the set was amazing and reminded me as to why I fell in love with music in the first place.

Finally, the creme de la creme, Yellowcard, made their appearance. The set started out with the Ghostbusters theme song, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and a Ghostbuster chasing after each other, and using a t-shirt cannon to launch shirts into the crowd. Next, guitarist Ryan Mendez enters the stage, playing the iconic Top Gun theme on the guitar, then followed by violinist Sean Mackin playing one of the Star Wars themes (I’m so sorry I can’t figure out which one but pretty sure it’s Tatooine or something like that). Eventually, the full band came out with a raucous roar from the crowd when Ryan Key appeared. The rest of the night was filled with nostalgia and Yellowcard staples.

Sadly, no crowd surfing for me, as it was a mellower crowd, but it was just nice to be in an atmosphere of such joy. Here’s to the next one!

A sincere thank you to:
