DU On the Road: The Idobi Radio Summer School Tour ‘26 Rolls through House of Blues in Boston, Ma! (JuLY 7, 2026)

Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Winona Fighter, Games We Play, Chase Petra, and Ring Pop all rocked through Boston on July 7, 2026 the Idobi Radio Summer School Tour and our own, Michael “Woody” Woodworth (@thiccwoodyphoto) was there to catch the action!

For most of the day, it was raining pretty steadily in Boston, but that didn’t stop me. I drove an hour and 45 minutes to my friend Pam’s place in Somerville for some free parking, and originally planned to take the T to the venue. I didn’t have a jacket though, and it would be a 5-10 minute walk to and from the station, so I decided to Uber the 4.4 miles instead for $38. At first, it was a great idea, but it took an hour and a half because of wicked traffic, which I found out is because Noah Kahan was making his first of 4 appearances at Fenway. It just so happened that my show was at the House of Blues, right across the freaking street.

The Idobi Radio Summer School tour made its stop at the House of Blues and had local opener Ring Pop start off the night, but sadly I didn’t make that; I made it halfway through the first band on the tour itself, Chase Petra. I had created a playlist to familiarize myself with more songs from the bands, but not much of Chase Petra. They did however, do great, from what I heard, and bassist/vocalist Brooke Dickson’s pink hair shone bright through the darkness.

Games We Play

Genre: Pop Punk, Alt Rock

Next, was Games We Play and they definitely brought the energy up. The songs were great, the banter in between songs was unexpected and a tad bit annoying, but they were having fun with it. Speaking of fun, they had a camping type set up on stage with them, highlighting a grill and cooler. At one point, frontman Emmyn Calleiro opened that bad boy up, pulled out a handful of Diet Cokes, and dispersed them for the band and tossed a few into the crowd. They proceeded to cheers, take a big drink and toast the crowd. Another highlight of the set was pulling a fan up from the crowd and having him play keyboard, with a massive smile on his face and great teaching from Calleiro, it was a fantastic moment.

Winona Fighter

Genre: Pop Punk, Alt Rock, Grunge

Nashville’s Winona Fighter made their mark next and what an unbelievable set it was. The pure amount of energy frontwoman, multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon had, my lord. I couldn’t take my eyes off her and her jumping, stomping, and kicking around with the biggest smile on her face. I’m pretty sure this was somewhat of a hometown show for them. They played banger, after banger, and then threw in a Beastie Boys Sabotage cover that rocked our world. At the end of their set, Kinnon jumped into the crowd and did a little bit of crowd surfing, again with a giant smile on her face.

South Arcade

Genre: Pop Punk, Alt Rock

What seemed like the fan favorite of the night, and the most excited I had seen the crowd, was because of England’s South Arcade. I hadn’t known too much about them, but did notice they had a song on the new Forza Horizon 6 soundtrack, which blew me away. Their stage presence was phenomenal as well, with almost every inch of the crowd yelling the songs back. Between the vocal prowess of Harmony Cavelle and bassist Ollie Green’s unmatchable bouncing energy, they tipped the night into one to definitely remember.

Honey Revenge

Genre: Pop Rock, Alt Rock, Indie Pop

Finally, the headliner, Honey Revenge, had their turn. I was lucky enough to take photos at the inaugural Summer School tour back in 2023, where they opened it up; they were eternally grateful for being back this time as the lead act. I had been looking forward to seeing them again after that show and here I am! Vocalist Devin Papadol is an amazing artist and you can see it shine the entire time, while guitarist Donny Lloyd brings some serious guitars and personality onto the stage. There is hardly a moment where he isn’t smiling from ear to ear.
